"Children’s learning and wellbeing is supported by attentive teachers. A positive tone and inclusive practice promotes children’s social skills development and confidence. Teachers know the children well. Respectful relationships positively contribute to children’s sense of belonging."

"Teachers play alongside children, encouraging their sustained involvement. Meaningful conversations take place. Teachers question children to elicit their ideas and use modelling and prompting well to extend their language and thinking. These contribute to a positive platform for learning."

"Children participate enthusiastically in a varied range of planned and spontaneous activities and experiences. Literacy and mathematics activities and concept learning are an integral part of children’s early childhood experience."

"Assessment, curriculum planning and evaluation practices are responsive to children’s strengths, identified needs and goals they set for themselves. Teachers are reflective practitioners. Individual learning portfolios provide parents with an overview of children’s participation in the programme."
